Open practice Russia and Sweden
On the 1st August Danscenter Fryshuset in collaboration with Nordkonst organized open practice for break dancers from Russia and Sweden in the framework of Nord2Nord project.
The Nord2Nord project promotes multicultural communication across national and regional borders by working with youth and urban cultures in Sweden and Russia through the break-dancing practices and shows. Russian dancers represent such popular crews as Dvizhclub and Fresh Young from St. Petersburg and Kaluga.
During the day they performed their best practices, ran a workshop for young people and shared their experience how to become a break dancer. Also, they had a guided tour in Fryshuset and had a chance to learn more about Swedish Hip Hop culture which is well-known for its advanced strategies of empowerment, women representation and inclusion of people with disabilities.
Such events provide inspiration to the youth and it`s important and necessary for them in order to realize their full potential and gain their communication and cooperation skills through their passion in dancing.
