Exchange of Youth Workers in Armenia

Everyone matters! Development of Inclusive and Participatory Youth Work Practices in Eastern Partnership Countries. The event was held between the 9 - 15 of August 2018 in Yerevan, Armenia.

Operations Manager at Elektra in Fryshuset Gothenburg attended the week long exchange together with peers from different EU countries. This is what he thinks of the exchange;

What was most rewarding to me in Armenia are those methods and exercises that they used. I have been able to bring it along and implement it in my work in electra education with those young people. As an example, we did a really cool role-playing exercise linked to discrimination and the experience you yourself have had and through this exercise, you can transform the experience and make it a positive experience.

Elektra is a human rights activity at Fryshuset that works against honor related violence and oppression. By that Elektra means violence, oppression, threat, isolation, and displacement as a means of controlling a family member’s personal rights to maintain the family’s honor.
