Visit from Russia
Between 4-6 December, Fryshuset together with Forum SYD and other Swedish organizations, participated in the forum “Building an inclusive and sustainable society perspectives from Sweden and Russia”.
Participants from Swedish and Russian organizations as well as grassroot movements shared promising practices on inclusion of youth in youth work, young people with disabilities, human rights and environmental issues. One of the many activities included a tour of Fryshuset in Hammarby Sjöstad. Participants discussed Fryshusets core values in the four fields of Fryshuset work: Youth Culture, Schools, Role models and Future perspectives, Work and Entrepreneurship.
Also, representatives from Forum SYD told more about opportunities for possible future cooperation. Furthermore, participants learned about promising practices which are already implemented and validated in Sweden and Russia. Through the presentations and group discussions, participants realized that their countries face similar challenges.
All organizations work on different levels: local, national and/or global in collaboration with Russian organizations, EU and others partners through youth exchanges, study visits, camps, forums, short- and long – term voluntary work, social entrepreneurship and so on. This event gave inspiration and new ideas for all participants.
